DIRECTIONS:
1. Clean and dry parts using Permatex Surface Prep® activator.
2. Apply Large Diameter Threadlocker to both parts (threaded areas) and assemble. Refer to Technical Data Sheet for complete information.
NOTE: Large Diameter Threadlocker works on metal parts. It is not recommended for plastics.
Cured Large Diameter Threadlocker must be heated to 260°C (500°F) before parts will separate.
Apply localised heat to approximately 232°C to the parts and remove the fasteners when hot.
Permatex Large Diameter – High-Strength Threadlocker Red is ideal locking and sealing large bolts and stud 1″ (25mm+) or larger in diameter. Red threadlocker is well-suited for permanently locking studs and press fits. Threadlocker RED adds 3,000 PSI holding power on slip and press fit assemblies, and replaces set screws and snap rings. Permatex’s Threadlocker Red locks against vibration loosening. May require heat or special tools for removal.
