DIRECTIONS:
This product is designed to repair small holes in all plastic and metal radiator tanks. The repair material is designed to harden in about 2 hours. Read all directions before beginning repair. Repairs can be made ideally at temperatures from 50°F to 75°F.
- Make sure engine has cooled completely before beginning repairs; never open a hot radiator. Remove radiator cap.
- Wash hands so they are free of direct, oil, grease and rust to prevent contamination of the material and the damaged area.
- Sand the area around the damaged area with sandpaper provided.
- Carefully clean all surfaces around the hole using alcohol swab provided. Allow to dry.
- Cut of the amount of material needed for the repair (at least 1/4 stick). Use only enough material to fill the hole and cover a 1/2″ wide area around the outside of the hole. Knead the repair material until it is uniform in both color and consistency.
- Form the radiator repair plug into the shape of a cone and firmly push the pointed end into the hole.
- Flatten the excess material formly and uniformly around the hole, conforming to the metal or plastic surface.
- Wait 2 hours. Refill radiator with coolant/water if necessary.
- Check radiator periodically to ensure that the leak has stopped.
